What is the difference for my operations when assigning a Job to a Role or 1 Team Member?

In Rental Ninja, it is possible to assign Jobs either to 1 person or to multiple people at the same time. The choice is up to you!

When setting up the Task Module and when creating Manual Jobs you will need to decide who is going to perform the Job.

Let's explain by using an example: Cleanings.

Different ways of operating:

  • There is 1 person in charge of the Cleanings of an Apartment

  • You work with different (external) Cleaning personnel that clean an Apartment according to their schedule or agreements with you.

In Rental Ninja, both ways of operating are covered.

Assign a Job to 1 Team Member

  1. If you assign a Job to 1 Team Member, only this person will be able to access this Job. The other Team Members with the same Role will not be able to complete this Job.

    The Assignee can access the Job through their My Jobs list, Task Calendar, Resource Calendar and through Tasks tab inside a Booking.

  2. Note that you can only assign a Job to someone that has access to the Rental you are creating the Job for.

  3. When the Job is created, the assigned Team Member will receive a Push-Notification of Job created.

Assign a Job to a Team Role

  1. It is important that all the needed people, have access to Rental Ninja and have the same Role assigned.

  2. Make sure that the Team Members have access to the needed Rentals through the Permission settings of each Team Member. (Settings > Team Members > Permissions > Rentals) How do I invite my Team Members?

  3. When you assign the Job to a Role, ALL Members with this Role and access to the Rental will be able to access the Job (through their My Jobs list, Task Calendar, Resource Calendar and through Tasks tab inside a Booking)

  4. When the Job has been created, the same Team Members (ALL Members with this Role and access to the Rental) will receive a Push-Notification of Job Created.

  5. Depending on your preferred way of working, you can opt to let the Team Members Claim the Jobs themselves OR you can Manually Assign the Jobs so that the designated Team Member will finally be able to complete the Job.
