Instant Booking vs Request to Book

Instant Booking:

Booking is confirmed automatically when a guest tries to book This is the default setting for most channels

Request to Book:

Host has to accept the Booking request of a guest

Request to Book is available in the following cases:

Airbnb

  • to be requested to Rental Ninja's support team. Can be activated on listing level & is only available when in full sync. The process to change to Request to book can take upto 1 business day, but usually is much quicker.

    Do not change this yourself directly on your Airbnb account, Rental Ninja will overwrite the setting in the next sync.

Booking.com

  • For new connections: it can be configured in the Distribution Center when creating the connection. Consult this article to learn how to set this up in Rental Ninja.

  • For existing connections + mapped properties, you can set it up directly in your booking.com account, consult this booking.com article on how to do this. Rental Ninja will NOT overwrite this setting.

Leboncoin

  • Depends on your Leboncoin account settings.

VRBO

  • can be set up on account level when connecting to VRBO.

Homelike

  • The Instant booking or Request to book setting is configured in your Homelike account.

Channels that do NOT allow Request to Book:

  • Google Travel

  • Despegar

  • Direct Booking Website
