Rate Management on Rental Ninja
Overview and Purpose
Rental Ninja's rate management feature allows you to define and adjust prices for your rental properties. You can create multiple seasons with varying rates, apply discounts, and set availability restrictions. This ensures accurate pricing and efficient reservation management.
Before managing rates, ensure you have:
Created a rental property
Filled out the base rate details within the rental property
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Accessing Rate Management
Navigate to the "Rentals" module
Click "View" on the rental property you wish to adjust
Select "Rates and Upsells" from the property menu
2. Creating a Rules/Seasons
Click "Add Rules"
Enter a Rule Name
Specify a Start and End Date
Optionally, lock the season to prevent bookings
3. Configuring Season Rates
Select the days of the week the season rate applies
Choose between a fixed price or percentage of the base rate
Adjust additional fees, such as guest price and changeover configuration
4. Saving and Editing Seasons
Click "Save" to create the season
To edit an existing season, click "Edit Season" and make the necessary changes
5. Managing Rates in the Calendar
Go to the "Calendar" view
Hover over specific dates to view the applied rates and season
Click on a date to edit the season or rate
Use the "Rates Calculator" to calculate rates for specific dates and guest counts
6. Adding Fees and Discounts
Navigate to "Settings" > "Fees and Services" to set up general fees. For more details and instructions, you may go to Booking Fees, Services & Taxes
Add fees to a rental property through the "Rates and Upsells" menu
Add discounts, such as last-minute or long-stay discounts, within the Long Stays and Last Minute

Season Configuration

Common Issues and Troubleshooting
Season Rate Not Applied
Check if the season covers the desired date range
Ensure the season is not locked
Verify that the season has the highest priority for the date

Ensure the correct dates and guest counts are entered
Check for any additional fees or discounts that may apply
