Important notes:
Whenever a guest books through Blueground, you will have 48 hours to accept or decline the booking. If not responded within that timeframe, the booking will be automatically confirmed.
By default the Blueground charges commission on the total booking price, including all mandatory fees.
Blueground manages the payment of the entire booking (including the damage deposit). The guest has the option to pay Blueground everything in full or in different installments.
if you do not want the Blueground team to handle the payment of any of the required fees (which will also imply a 7% commission charged by them), you need to personally request them to remove these fees as mandatory in their dashboard. In which case, it'll depend on you to reach out your guests to collect such payments. Same applies for the handleing of the damage deposit, however, this last one will never include a % commission regardless of who handles the charge to the guest.
In most cases the Damage deposit is paid to the host by Blueground. After which, the host is responsible for returning it to the guest. HOWEVER, it is recommended you consult your specific case with Blueground directly to double confirm.
