What data is synchronised with Whimstay?

Items that are updated every 1 hour:

  • Prices

  • Availability

  • Minimum Stay

  • Changeover restrictions

Items are updated every 24 hours:

  • Same day booking cut-off

  • Fees

  • Taxes

  • Address (excl floor number)

  • Amenities, including bedrooms (excl. number of toilets)

  • Description

  • Photos

  • Listing name & type

  • Check-in/out times

  • Min & max sleeps

  • Extra guest price

  • Damage deposit

What data is NOT synced with Whimstay?

  • Floor number

  • Surface

  • Licence number

  • Discounts

  • Down payment

  • Cancellation policy

Notes:

  • Whimstay retrieves the property data per regular intervals. Hence, after the property content is updated in Rental Ninja, it is Whimstay that is responsible for correct data retrieval. It is not possible to trigger the update from Rental Ninja.

  • Payment method: Whimstay collects full payment from the traveller at the time of booking. Whimstay sends the payout for each reservation 24 hours after the guest checks in. The funds are deposited into the bank account the host sets up during the onboarding.

  • Booking Modifications: Booking modification made in Rental Ninja are not synchronised with Whimstay. Modifications (both from guest and host) can be done via the Whimstay channel and these modifications will be synchronised to Rental Ninja.
