How to connect to Trip.com?

First steps for new Trip.com clients only:

Before connecting to Trip.com, a contract must be signed with them. It takes 2-3 weeks, depending on the responsiveness of both parties. Once signed, you will be provided with the CodeContext number, which consists of 4-5 digits. The number is required to successfully connect to the channel from within the Rentals Ninja platform.  When the contract is signed, please reach out to us so that we can connect and map your properties internally. This process takes up to 3 weeks, too. Trip.com needs 7 days in order to create the establishments. In case Trip.com maintains unresponsive within the stated periods, it is recommended to contact them directly.  Now you can proceed with the connection as explained below.

Connect to Trip.com - New properties

  1. Go to the Distribution page

  2. Connect to Trip.com

  3. Click on Synchronise your first property or Add more properties

  4. Provide the required information and click Next.

To identify your account Trip.com uses Code Context. For properties connected through Rental Ninja always use 1339.

  1. Select the Rental Ninja listing you'd like to connect. It is possible to select multiple properties.

  2. The content quality is analyzed. This process should take up to a few minutes. When done, the summary of properties' content is displayed.

  3. If the property is ready to publish, indicate the mark-up. If not, improve the indicated and retry after 10 minutes.

  4. Click on Publish Property

  5. The published properties will enter the Pending status. The channel reviews your properties and their status will be updated automatically. It can take up to 24 hours before the pushed property is visible in the Trip.com dashboard.

Notes:

  • If you have multiple accounts in the channel, you can add them all to Rental Ninja. To do so, click on Add New.

  • If you want a multi-unit set up (several room types in the same hotel), you will need to manually create the set up in Trip.com and then map it in Rental Ninja. It is not possible to push a multi-unit from Rental Ninja.

Mapping properties to existing listings (N/A)

For Trip.com, it is only possible to create new rates by pushing the property data from Rental Ninja.

It is possible to migrate some data, however, (for example reviews) to the newly created listings. In this case, contact Trip.com directly.

Note:

  • Fee and Tax: no Unknown or Other can be pushed to Trip.com
